Skills across the curriculum

Every learner from early years, through statutory education and into lifelong learning must be able to use a range of skills effectively. We all need to communicate, to use mathematical, creative and problem-solving skills, to benefit from the use of information technology and to develop personal and social skills. These are the skills that all pupils need for all their learning across the whole curriculum. They are generic, cross-curricular and transferable. They apply across all key stages, in all subjects in both mainstream and special schools.
