Scooter Skills
Years 3 & 4 have super scooter skills!
On Thursday 14th June, as part of our Active Journeys initiative, Hamish from SUSTRANS visited to teach our lower juniors basic scooter skills. Not only did they need to carry out a tricky cone course, needing to stop and turn safely, but also think carefully about their own safety and the safety of others using the pavement. The children not only had fun but also developed key scooter skills which they will be able to use if riding them to school as part of our Big Shift. Hamish had an 'awesome' time at Fairfield and commented on the excellent behaviour and listening skills of our children. Da iawn pawb!
