Beach Visit
On Tuesday 25th April Years 3 and 4 had the pleasure of visiting Penarth beach as part of their latest topic ‘Disaster Zone’.
The children took a geographical approach by visiting and sketching the coastline whilst also learning about rock formations and the effect of erosion on our environment. The trip was complemented by a visit to the RNLI where the children got to experience the importance of this charity with regards to the impact of national disasters caused by water. They especially enjoyed looking at/trying on the equipment and sitting in the boats whilst learning all about their work. A big thanks to RNLI for letting us visit and for the weather remaining dry too!!
